Robert G. Font, Ph.D.
Dr. Robert Font has more than 40 years of professional experience
in the oil and gas industry and in academia. He is a former tenured professor
at Baylor University, Project Supervisor and Area Geologist for Conoco Inc., and
Executive Vice President for Strategic Petroleum. In 1991, Dr. Font founded Geoscience Data Management, Inc. and has served as president and CEO until his recent retirement at the end of 2012.
Dr. Font received both a B.S. and an M.S. degree from Baylor University and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He has published widely and is a certified professional and petroleum geologist, as well as a registered geologist in three states. He is one of a handful of Americans who hold the title of "European Geologist" as awarded by the European Federation of Geologists. He is Past-President of the AIPG (2005-2006). Dr. Font is also fluent in Spanish and proficient in French.
